User added content language

The Goal:

Allow administrators and editors to add content for each language on a per-module basis, and the system to select the proper content based on the language defined for the site.

Overview:

By adding a language ID column to a table definition, we can associate a record with a language. We would then need a details table to define the particular language to associate with any module's record. The records for a module (ie: text, news, blog) would share the same primary ID, separating each record by the language ID assigned.

We are excited to announce a new direction for Exponent CMS, and we are very interested to hear your feedback (see link at the end of this post).. We will quickly be transitioning Exponent into Microsoft's .NET Framework. The LAMP stack has served us well over the years but we believe this decision will benefit Exponent in the long run.
